Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The great Town Hall organ in Birmingham, England, was built by Hill in 1835, enlarged by Willis, and finally restored by Mander in 1985. It has five manuals (keyboards) and the most beautifully and intricately hand-painted pipes in greens, dark reds and golds.

Although I started working in a darkroom when I was 7 years old and have gone through a range of techniques and styles to match the developments in photography, I still regard myself as always learning. My main focus these days is on pipe organ photography, but I enjoy landscapes, patterns and symmetry, experimenting with different styles - you name it, almost anything is fun to explore. Pipe organs are especially fascinating since no two in the world are alike, and the craftsmanship and beauty of so many of them is truly thrilling and awe-inspiring. Oh my goodness, what an incredible collection of pipe organ photos you have - and they are all wonderful. I picked this one for the color because blue and yellow is my favorite combination, but they are all wonderful.
